Use case · New-rep onboarding

Onboard new reps on practice, not on your pipeline.

Training built from your own product. New sales reps who practice discovery and objections out loud before they meet a buyer. A clear view of who is ready to take calls.

Onboarding is where quota leaks.

Quota carried by a rep who isn't ready.

A new hire gets a territory and a number before anyone has heard them handle a pricing objection. You find out how ready they were from the deals that slip.

Managers pulled into shadowing.

Your front-line managers run the same product walkthrough and the same ride-alongs for every hire, in the hours they should spend coaching deals.

Your best closer's knowledge stuck in their head.

How they open discovery, how they hold price, what they say when the buyer goes quiet. None of it reaches the next new rep.

How it works for new reps.

01

Build from what you already have.

Start with your web pages. Add your sales deck, product sheets and a few call recordings, and attach your methodology, MEDDIC or SPIN or your own, to the sales role. Mentor126 builds the training in the formats that fit, from readings and quizzes to podcasts and scenarios. It lists the facts it couldn't find in your sources, and when two of your documents disagree, it flags the conflict for you to settle. New hires added to the sales role get its courses automatically, by email.

02

Reps practice discovery and objections out loud.

Against an AI buyer built from your material: their role, their temperament, the objections your team actually hears. Before each call the rep sees what they will be graded on. They can fail in practice, see exactly what cost them, and try again, before a customer is on the line. Lessons they have already proven get skipped, so experienced hires don't sit through the basics, and they reopen if the rep later fails them.

A live voice practice call: Joe, the skeptical plant lead, is speaking, and the transcript shows his objection that his EHS team won't approve anything without serious guarding.

03

You see who is ready to take calls.

Every practice call is scored criterion by criterion against a rubric built from your material, with the rep's own words as evidence. Done means passed, not clicked through: a lesson that tests something completes only at 70% or more. Confidence quizzes find the reps who are sure and wrong. Course results show which criteria the team misses most, and on Team and Enterprise plans you can ask Mentor in plain English, like “who is weakest on pricing objections?”

A scored practice call at 77: technical accuracy at 100 percent and MEDDIC objection handling at 68 percent, each with the reason and a quote of what the rep said.

What sales leaders ask

Yes. The training is built from your own material: your web pages, plus any deck, playbook, product sheet or call recording you add. It flags any place where two of your sources disagree and lists the facts it couldn't find in them, for you to check. If two of your documents contradict each other, it flags the conflict for you to settle.

A first course typically builds in about 15 minutes, and reps can start it the same day you publish it. There is nothing to install: it runs in the browser on desktop and on phones.

It doesn't have to. An LMS hosts and tracks content you build somewhere else. Mentor126 builds the sales training from your material, runs the spoken practice and scores it. Many teams keep their LMS for HR and company-wide training and use Mentor126 for their sales reps. There is no SCORM or LTI, so it runs beside an LMS, not inside it.

Starter is $35 and Team is $55 per seat per month, with a 15-day free trial for up to 25 users. For teams with 10 or more sales reps, we set the plan with you on a demo, and Enterprise is by quote.

Your reps practice every sales conversation before it's real.
